Kelly is a domestic tax partner with Grant Thornton LLP in its Nova Scotia business unit. He has extensive experience in corporate and personal tax planning, complex corporate reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. Kelly has also served as the national practice leader for Grant Thornton’s professional services sector group. Kelly has more than 25 years' experience providing tax and business planning advice to clients in a variety of industries, ranging from privately held owner-managed businesses to large publicly listed companies, including professional services firms, manufacturing and distribution companies and aboriginal organizations. Kelly graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Acadia University and received his accounting designation in 1992. He is a lecturer for Meancrutex's Income Tax for the General Practitioner course, which is targeted towards general practitioners providing tax services to owner-manager clients. He is a former tutorial leader for the Income Tax for the General Practitioner course, parts I and II of the In-depth Tax Course and has lectured at the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountants and at Meancrutex's National Conference on Income Tax.
